I understand that in D/P, the only way to transfer your pokemon from older games to diamond and pearl is to catch them in the pal park. BUT, Serebii says that there is a time limit to catch them and some are quote: "very very rare and hard to find.". So...what if you don't find them within the time limit, do they just dissapear?

No ... just come back, and look for 'em again.

If you DO find them, there is a 99% chance that you WILL catch it.

There is no time limit, I have heard that the time limit was to keep your record of finding a pokemon, and plus why in the world would there be a time limit for catching "your own" pokemon? Now unless I heard wrong, or if Im wrong, then Im going to hate pal park because of the pokemon in there are so hard to find that Im going to keep geting kicked out when I finally have like one more patch of grass to check.

Alright thanks. But if there is a time limit, it's going to be realy irritating, and I might throw my DS across the room.

There is no time limit in catching pokemon in Pal Park....however the quicker you catch you own pokemon in Pal Park. You get a prise from the park ranger.

So catching your own pokemon fast and not dwindling means a better prize for you.

Yeah, the prize is a special berry.

Although, why do you need to recatch your own pokemon? Why can't they transfer to a lady and she says "Here are you Pokemon from a Region before Sinnoh. I will put it in the PC."

You can only choose 6 Pokemon at a time. The Park Ball is like a Master Ball.

Everything you need to know about Pal Park transfering is on serebii.net and wikipedia.com All of the information provided on those site including this one is correct information as far as I know from having the game myself.

I have Pokemon Pearl in Japanese and I also had Fire Red in Japanese and once you choose the six that you want to transfer from the GBA. They are then transfered to D/P via Pal Park...You have to catch them in D/P Pal Park, if you catch them in a fast time you get a special berry.

Once transfered to D/P that pokemon will remain on D/P and CANNOT be transfered back to any of your GBA games. They will remain with the same stats and any hold item that you transfered them with along with original trainer's name.

Additionally. Any of the GBA Pokemon games unclock ceratin pokemon in D/P in areas noted on serebii.net. The only pokemon that are not on D/P and you HAVE to transfer is all pre 4th generation starters and their evolutions and all pre 4th generation Legendaries ie...Mew, Kyogre, Deoxy etc.

Edit:
I hope that helps all understand the Transfering not trading of the GBA pokemon to D/P. If not...you can check out various websites to find the information I just written in a more vast detail and account.

A yes, no, yes,(aka yny)because you can have you're Lv.1,000,001 pokemon on the game, they don't trade evo. or come back, and you can beat everyone with your GBA Lv. 1,000,001 pokemon!
Shadows are in the light. Light is in the shadows. The balance is needed.

Well water pokemon are in water places, and its no biggie
Pal park is just when you transfer pokemon, but not trading.
Or you really do is catch your past pokemon, and you cannot fail to catch them.Anyway if you catch them all you can get a a berry(yay)

Im glad that I can recapture my pokemon, but Im mad that they wont be in the certain type of pokeball I caught them in, because I wanted my Rayquaza and Lugia to stay in their Timer Ball, because I love that ball, and it was hard geting them in there, lol

Well Chaos I don't think that is through I transfered on to my Jap game the Pokemon and they still came out of the ball I caught them in.

But hey they did say the were going to tweak...D/P before us releasal.

I was just going by what I thought, because "recaptured" and the only ball there is for that pal park is, "Park ball" (AKA Safari ball because they look the same, but Park Ball has the 100% catch rate) so I was thinking that all my transferd pokemon will be in parkballs
