For everyone who knows, the Movie Regigigas / TRU Regigigas was given out for the purpose in getting the three Regi's. Now, according to serebii, No where in the following paragraph does it state to beat the Elite Four.
"If you have transferred the Regigigas that you obtained from the 11th movie over to Platinum and have it on your team, then you have access to a special room in Iron Island. Right by the exit there's an extra cave. If you go in there with Regigigas in your team, then you'll go to a new cave as opposed to the empty one with a Metal Coat in. Here, you need to go up to the statue and... . Registeel will attack. It is Level 30"
Now, I have Regigigas in my team, and I'm in Registeel's cavern. It is NOT attacking me. From what I'm guessing at this, the saying it tells me when I examine the statue is this.. "It's a statue of a Pokemon. It seems to exude power... From somewhere, something spoke out. "The human in the company of our master, pay heed... Become stronger you must. So much that the others cannot but notice.""
From that, It tells me I must beat the Elite Four to unseal the regis. What do you guys think? Same thing, or something different, because I'm honestly tired of trying to guess at this. But another thing, in the room, the little dots on the floor make a noise when you walk over them. Still no idea what they're for. Anyhow, Discuss guys. :D

You are telling the truth. I think you have to beat the Elite 4 and then get the 3 Regi's. Just like in Diamond and Pearl u had to beat the game first then Pal Park the Regi's to get Regigigas.

All you have to do is beat the E4 (Did so March 24) and then you can go get each Regi and Regigigas afterwards.

I just today found out I needed the National Dex + Regigigas + E4 Defeated. so I have Ice, but not steel or rock yet. :D
