I think it's the same thing, because gameshark and AR have the same language.(I think)

I'm still not sure, and there's no mastercode for gameshark so I guess there's no mastercode for action replay.

Well for AR, a mastercode is like a "king code". It makes certain codes work and certain ones not. For every cheat there is a mastercode.

This has happened to me before, the cartridge has a batery in it, so, you would want to unscrew the screw in the back then you will see the micro controller the silver thing is the battery
