I could have used that on my yellow version. I turned it on one day and it said "the file data has been deleted" I hadn't known about missingo. so it couldn't have been a glitch. Did this ever happen to you?

It happened because you probobaly used the missingno. trick in pokemon red. Missingno. can be so deadly, it may not let even pokemon ruby or sapphire save. It sometimes may not let pokemon yellow save ethier, I, think. Nintendo always says to not mess with glitches but we don't listen to them don't we.

This isn't exactly on topic but my name's JOE on my Blue that I just got from Ebay, and all I get is a level 142 Snorlax and level 0 and 80 GB 'M GBs. [Could the level 80 be in place of Missingno?] I need the hex/deimal list so I can get a name resulting in Missingno.

But I never used any cheats on it. It probably started functioning improperly.

Oh, you didn't use any cheats on pokemon red? Then your probobaly right, it could of been the internal save battery or somthing.

You can't simply just change your name and get Mew. You have to use Gameshark, find Mews hex code, and encounter him accordingly.
