Welcome back trainers for bonus part 3, this part I show you how to do the missingno glitch and how to enter glitch city. If you already know how to do that, ignore this post.
To do the missingno glitch you must first go to viridian city and talk to the old man who teaches you how to catch a pokemon and let him show you how to.
Once he's done, fly to cinnabar island and swim along the coast line. Don't forget to move your rare candy or master balls to the sixth place in the slot items!
And here he is! No wait that's a level 132 mewtwo, but I'll explain that later.
Let's swim a little more.
And here it is! Look at that beauty.
I don't remember how to fix the glitches when missingno is in your party, but I think it's done by looking at your stats, your pokemon's stats, putting missingno in the pc, or checking the pokedex.
So that mewtwo, if your name is RED then when you do the old man glitch the first pokemon you'll encounter will always be that level 132 Mewtwo, followed by some random pokemon(usually golduck but it's been some random one for me), then the missingno.
Ash will have a lv 146 missingno first, a lv 80 missingno, a lv 128 golbat, a lv 138 missingno, and finally a lv 141 snorlax
Jack will get a lv 128 golbat, a lv 138 missingno, a 141 snorlax, a 150 missingno, and finnaly a 141 golduck
If you make a custom name you can make missingno look like something else. Having W in the third, fifth, or seventh slot then it will look like a kabutops fossil. X in one of those spots will make it look like a aerodactyl fossil. Y will make it look like a ghost.
The level is determined by second, fourth, and sixth letters, but I just keep to using the default RED name.
Take note that instead of talking to the old man you can make a trade and travel the coastline, obviously the old man would be faster, but whatever. I would link you guys the video for a better explanation, but I don't know if the site is considered a competitor of supercheats; I don't want to get banned and so far I like making let's plays, better to be safe than sorry.
Also take note that the coastline is considered as wild grass and towns do not overwrite what pokemon roam the wild grass since towns don't have wild grass. So if you fly from a route to cinnabar island you will find all the pokemon you would find from the location you flew from along the coastline. Going to the safari zone and flying here will make it easier to catch the safari zone pokemon.
Talking about the safari zone, let me show you how to get to glitch city.
Walk to the safari zone, pay the price, and enter.
Stay right where you entered and go back into the building, say no.
Save the game and reset.
Leave the safari zone, by either walking out or flying.
Then go to the bicycle road (bridge? I don't remember the name) or travel the coastline of cinnabar island.
After 500 steps you get the text that you get after running out of time in the safari zone. Leave the building.
And you'll have made it into glitch city. You'll always move down for some reason, but RED can still be controlled.
Once you get bored or stuck, just fly away!
See you next session!
