Rock smash sucks badly, it, cut, fly, and flash are awful HM's (not as much fly as the others) glad they're ditching flash for at least something different, I'd also like it if the replaced cut with slash lol

Dive sucks, too. And Fly is a good field effect wasted on a terrible battle move.

Oh yeah, I forgot Dive, it replaced Whirlpool from G/S/C (Whirlpool was probably worse) I wish fly was a strong move, I'd teach it to rayquaza, but sadly, it sucks.

Cut, Flash, Fly, Dive and Rock Smash are all crap HMs. Cut could simply be replaced with Slash and Rock Smash should be at least 101 power because none other Fight type moves can destroy rocks and most of them are stronger.
EDIT: Whirlpool was awful too.

I agree, rock smash can DESTROY rocks, yet it can barley do anything in a battle

Johnkrill: It doesn't matter if topics drift of a little, since we are still talking about pok�mon moves. So long as we stick to the topics basically, it doesn't matter. Of course, this should not be permanent or anything.

Does it say 20% in Serebii.net or something? Because in my guidebook it says 50%. I'm talking about R/S/E, not D/P, just so you know.
EDIT: I just check Serebii. It says that Rock Smash's probability of lowering Defense is 50%. Even in D/P here

rock smash is a bad move..they should put brick break for clearing rocks instead

Well why would you want another Rock type to know it? Cause usually the other pok�mon that are Rock type have another type with it, meaning most likely better choice of moves.

I prefer to give the bad HM's to my HM slaves, I have Salebeye know Flash, Cut, and rock smash, a swellow who knows fly, and a wailord who knows surf, waterfall, dive, and strength.

I use Azumarill and Tropius as HM slaves. That way I cover all of them.

I don't use any of my pok�mon as slaves, I give them the best moves I believe they deserve or I need to use for certain battles or adventures / missions.

I don't use slaves either. I only teach rubbish Ms to pok�mon whose movesets won't be complete until I've passed the Move Deleter's.

Yeah, but I catch two Azumarills and two Tropius. One of each an HM slave, the other an actual fighter.

I make usless pokemon (Ex. Wailord and Salebeye) into slaves so I can keep my good pokemon for battle.
