The Worst Starter

For all the smack talkin' about Treeko...Yes...in the first evolutionary for of those three starters ( and the second evolutionary form)...Treeko is HORRIBLE...at best...but in the final form...Sceptile...It is BY FAR better than Blazekin, or Swampert...Treeko is slow to start...but it is amazingly great in the later portions of Ruby/Sapphire.

Steph- I don't hate you... I just would like you to tak your question to the Ar forum instead of spaming up the only slightly active topic we have left here!

And EVERYONE this is the WORST starter topic, not the best. And Cendequil is close to the bottom of the barrel, as much as I like him.

Worst starter ever - Chikorita byfar. I couldn't make it past the first gym with Chikorita. I beat the game 6 times over with Totodile.

For Ruby of course, it would be Treeko. The only part I had a problem was with Blaziken on the Psychich Gym. (My two best pokemon were fighting types: Breloom, and Blaziken)
Treeko...I won't even say. I eventually did beat the game with him and got him to lvl 100. But givin the time between the starters:

1. Mudkip
2. Torchic
3. Treeko

1 being the best. 3 being the worst.

That list is debatable, since Treeco/Sceptile is "The Grass God" And one of the fastest pokemon, there's nothing all too special about Blazikin apart from his Blaze Kick, which stinks. I personally think Blazikin is the worst of the three, but that's just me.

hmm. hard question. either chickorita or treecko because I dont like grass pokemon unless they learn goood special attacks. almost all the grass pokemon have high sp. attack, but learn almost all physical moves, and they cant really learn good sp. attack tm's.

the best starter to beat the game is mudkip, it kills most gym badges

the worst is probly treeko but sceptile turns out to be very good

no way the hardest is treeko because the 3rd gym badge is impossible with it

marshtomp and combusken can easily kill it, grovyle on the other hand, has a really hard time with it

Mudkip has the highest potential to be able to build a great movepool in-game without breeding it or using the Move Tutor to teach him moves. Swampert is also the best out of all the thirteen starters.

Torchic still has potential in-game, provided you know what you're doing with him. The only issue is that Rock Slide is not available in Ruby unless you breed. The Move Tutor that teaches Rock Slide is only in Emerald, and Rock Slide is far more useful on Blaziken than Earthquake, which is overused on him and is better on someone else. Just get rid of Blaze Kick - it sucks.

Treeko has very limited potential in-game unless you're seriously considering breeding. Leaf Blade is a brilliant move, but it's the only good move Sceptile learns by level-up, and the only good TMs it can learn are Physical ones (with the exception of Dragon Claw, which is nothing special). Sceptile is a damn good pokemon is arguably a step above Blaziken if his full potential is reached, but it's so time consuming to bring it that you'll probably be happier with one of the other two instead.

i would also say treeko is the worst

swampert aint near the best of the 13 starters

For me the grass starters pretty much SUCKED except in Sinnoh. Lol

Actualy any pokemon can be good as long as you know what your doing but if your crappy trianer then yes i suggest you pick all the strong pokemon but if your a skilled trianer then you can use just about anyone

But the worst starter pokemon is pikachu from one of the games for gameboy color

the worst starter is actully...Chickorita! Chickorita has bad attack,defence,and S.P attack and defence.
