hey dont get me wrong, im not a hot shot but im ok at some things on pokemon im just a moderator lol, but moderators and supers and fwank aren't the only hot shot shots there are other pokemon masters too lol

whoa lol you mean like the weakness of types right let me see:
Dragon=Ice, Dragon, and is it Rock I can't remember??
Dragon/Water= all i can think of is dragon
Fire=Water, Ground, Rock
Fire/Flying=Rock, Water, and Electric
Water=Electric, and grass
Water/Ground=Ground, and Grass, and i think water not entirely sure
Ground=Ground, Ice, Water, and grass
Rock=Grass, Water, Ice, Fighting, Ground
Electric=Ground, Fighting, and i think Rock
Electric/Flying=Rock and Ice
Ice=Fire and anybody can help here lol
Ice/Ground=Fire, Grass, water, ground
Ice/Water=electric, fighting, and maybe grass
Steel=Ground,and Fire
Steel/Ground=Ground, water, and fire
Dark=Fighting
Dark/Psychic ask someone else but i think its fighting and dark
Psychic=Ghost, Dark, and Bug

you'd be better off reading one of the type matching charts online... but yeah... shot has pretty much everything covered... xept he made a few mistakes...

dragon types themselves are not weak against rock; most dragon types are dualed as flying too, so rock does a number on those guys (but if u tried to throw rocks at shellgon... not much happens)

ground types are not weak against ground types dude -_-" stop smoking weed

rock types are also weak to steel atks

electric types are ONLY weak against ONE thing and that's ground... (thats why i keep saying magneton should get levitate and screw it's steel sub type...)

ice types are weak against steel and fighting as well (n e thing harder... but strangli, not rock) NOT SURE about ground, but probabli not... memory is taking a ****

steel types are also weak against fighting atks

there is no dark/psychic, but dark psychic would have weakness of fighting and bug alone

grass are also weak against flying and poison (just to make em even worse than they already are...) but grass themselves are not weak against psychic atks... unless they were poison dualed like so mani of them are (venus... vicabell... odish family...)

you missed some...

flying = rock/electric/ice
fighting = psychic/bug/flying (unsure, memory is vague at 3am in the morning)
normal = fighting
poison = ground/psychic
i think i'm missing soemthing else... but i cbf thinking n e further... leme check...

I'll start another one then, what movesets suit what pokemon and what are the advantages of having certain moves on certain pokemon.

well if u av the same type move as the pokemon then it will do more damage than a move that is a different type
eg: charizard with earthquake does less damage than it would with a fire attack of same value

Well yes. I think a very good idea is to a teach any pokemon the moves that is super effective against its weakness pokemon. For Eg A weezing is a poison type so it is weak against ground and psychic types so teach it giga drain(grass-supereffective against ground) and shadow ball(dark-supereffective against psychic).
Note that fire pokemon cant learn electric attacks but eg a charizard is a dragon but isnt a dragon type speaking logically. A charizard is a fire breathing flying lizard i.e a dragon but then you normally cant teach one charizard Thunder but with the game shark you can. And besides the charizard doesnt look screwed up with a thunder move because it logically is a dragon and in the pokemon world it is good to consider it a dragon because there is nothing fishy for dragon such as charizard to know thunder. Well this is the basics that a pokemon must learn moves to counter its weaknesses. LOL

Then always each pokemon must have either
(1)one ally pokemon stat enhancing move OR one move that lowers opponents stats.(but i feel having stat enhancing move is much better you must know why because the ally pokemon stat that increases stays permanently for the battle until some move causes it to degrade whereas an opponent stat reduction move will only be beneficial against that particular Pokemon whose stats were degraded.)
(2) OR a defensive move such Barrier
(3) OR an attack that is a combination of both i.e a move that hurts and also either enhances ally stat or suppresses opponent stat for eg-Mud Slap, Steel wing, Iron tail, skull bash, etc .

P.S And I wish pokemon could learn at least 6 moves.
And personally my own thing is to teach any pokemon if possible a normal attack like Take down, or Skull bash or Mega punch or mega kick, Stomp, etc.

nah, 6 moves would literaly create 'ultimate' teams... if you think about it, there are certain set ups you could use on a certain pokemon to ... urgh let me make it clearer with an example:

mewtwo usuali has

psychic
ice beam/flamethrower/thunderbolt
calm mind
recover, etc etc etc etc...

ppl usuali change the 3 moves and the last 2 around, etc etc etc... leaving at least 2 different types of attack, ie psychic + 1 elemental attack (or psychich and 3 elemental attacks, depends how u wana use it, cb sin or what not) now, observe, the ultimate bullcrap that is the "6 move slot mewtwo"

i see absolutely no weakness in that moveset paired with mewtwo's stupid stats... as long as mewtwo doesn't die in 2 hits, CM twice, Recov up, then pwn absoluteli everything that rocks up... oh blissey might be able to stand up to it but i mean geezuz, not like you ever leave an SP sweeper against blissey... and 2CM mewtwo with stabbed psychic could wound blissey pretty badli unless bliss hacks a prz on mewy...

n e wai, thats not exactli the best example... the example i was refering to were stuff like, for example, blissey's BS pulse/beam/wave combo, u go water pulse, ice beam, thunder wave (all 3!!) toss, softboiled, and aroma... now... wtf??????? this thing can even beat tyraniboah??????? ER?????????????

one last thing, teaching pokes moves that counters weakness is often stupid: mewtwo is psychic, so mewtwo learns shadow punch? no, that's stupid...

keep in mind of physical and special differences in attack types, ask shot for more info... and the bonus u guys are talking is Same Type Attack Bonus, so the final damage calculation will have a 50% bonus damage, making it 150% ... togetic's hustle effect makes moves 150%, but 80% accuracy... if u used STAB moves like aeriel ace, while holding a choice band, since ace can't miss... damage of aeriel ace x 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 ... try and say togetic is crap again...
