okay, so i just bought a used copy of pokemon silver version, and whenever i play it, i would save like normal and make it past the intro (deliver the egg to elm, etc.) then i would turn it off to do other stuff. the next time i would start, i would find that all my save data was erased. i doubt there's anything i can do about this, but if other people know what im experiencing, please reply.

its just that simple

You should go back to the place you bought it from and swap it out. Either the previous owner droped it a lot or someone took it apart and didn't put it back together right.

Or maybe tha game is so old that the internal battery died. You never know with used games, old games like that coulda been played thousands of times before with tha save data erased and another game started.

That could be the cause. That's why I try not to buy used games. They can have all sorts of problems.

I bought a used Silver one time and it had no problems. But then after a while I sold my 2 GBA's and found out you can't use GB Color games on a DS so I destroyed it.

No, I did it on purpose. I took it outside an' smashed it on tha ground til it busted. Then I took it inside an' put tha pieces in one of those egg machine eggs, then filled it with water and closed it. I still have it, it's all rusted now. I only paid 5 bucks fer it, so I reckon I got my money's worth, a fun game then somethin' to smash when I'm bored. Thumbs UpEvil

The reason why has something to do with the inside of the game. Pokemon Gold has the same problem, supposedly the problem was fixed when Pokemon Crystal came out so try that.
Great, I'm moving. Who knows when you'll see me again.
