What team do you plan to have?

Post the team you plan on having here.

Mine will probably be:

Typhlosion
Quagsire
Alakazam (if he's as awesome as he used to be)
Machamp
Gengar
Ampharos

That was my 'classic' team, back when I had two working versions of the game, neither of which were Crystal. Unfortunately, since I only have Crystal, Ampharos is gone completely, and as I can't trade I use Kadabra and Machoke instead, which are good enough. Gengar is also gone, but since Haunter sucks (he can't learn the elemental punches unless he's Gengar) I don't even bother catching a Gastly. It would be brilliant if I could get the classic line-up again.

And before you ask why no legendaries are in my team, it's because they grow far too slowly and I hate using them anyway.

My in game will probably be

Typhosoin
Swampart(mainly becauses its the absolute best water pokemon in the series)
Pigedot
Ampharos
Infernape(fighting purposes)
Vensaur

im not sure u will be able to obtain all the later starters though, but that would be pretty cool if u could

I would prob have...

-Meganium (i have always loved this pokemon)
-Heracross
-Houndoom
-Ursaring
-Crobat (mainly for fly, but he is a good pokemon too)
-Mantine

Yeah, that'd be... sweet as... too bad this is Gen II, where those Pokemon don't exist.

Hmm...Heracross. Forgot about him. Brilliant pokemon, but I never did figure out how to obtain him in G/S/C. Headbutting tress apparently.

Ah yes, that's it. I remember reading that in order to get him you have to use Headbutt on tress in the mountain area at night time.

Typhlosion, Gengar, Espeon, Heracross, Gyarados, and either an HM Slave or a Flyer, so I'd put down Pidgeot.

Typhlosion, Scizor, Gengar, Hitmontop/Heracross, some flyer, and Furret-HM Slave and can learn Surf.

Mainly just pokemon I don't use often.

However, if they aren't in the Kanto/Johto Dex, then they won't be able to evolve (as I found out when trying to get a hacked in Meditite to evolve into Medicham in FR/LG, long before I obtained the National Dex). Additionally, if you just hack in the final evolution form, then they will have poor stats.

Yea well in Plat I did that with a Squirtle just fine and I wouldn't hack final evolutions because it would ruin the fun of it.

Alakazam (A true classic)
Machamp (I like trading!)
Crobat (My bat)
Gardevior (If he/she was in the second genearation, never played it)
Sceptile (Well its a little obvious cause he was my first pokemon)
Feraligater/Thysplyshon (My starter

Alakazam Machamp Crobat and your starter you can all get

Sceptile and gardevoir are 3rd gen wont be one gen 2

also after much thought i am removing houndoom and putting furret(HM slave)and getting a gyrados

Furret is like almost the only HM slave.

Gengar is a good choice.

Yea it seems everyone wants Gengar if u look throughout the entire thread.
