The Story Line

What do you think the story may be about? Do you think a new team (Phails starting from Team Rocket all the way to Team Galactic) will try to get the Legendary? Give us ideas.

Since it's Pokemon, I wouldn't be surprised if it was pretty much the same. Evil Teams are a Pokemon tradition. .-.

I hope they make the new Team more like Team Rocket. The teams after Rocket seemed a bit...cult-like to me. Of course, I think they brought up an announcement that they'd try to 'reinvent' the series with Gen V. So we may be getting an entirely different story line than in previous games.

I agree, and I really hope they do. Hopefully the story won't be as easy to beat as HG/SS was. We can only hope the story and even the Team will be much better.

Well, we will just have to find out how the story goes.

I'd like to see more of the Rival and COM pair ups like you did in Emerald with Steven. And make it last a little longer, too. :D

You've got the right idea, and maybe Night vs. Day may be what goes.

Maybe you and your rival team up in fighting the leader of the team? That'd be epic.

Pokemon sapphire, leaf green, diamond and soul silver are all pretty much the same story lol. So I think this will have the same idea with different pokes.

And yeah, you've got it in a nutshell. I think it wouldn't feel the same if it were any different, but it would be nice to see some change.

I liked pairing up with Steven in Emerald. One of my more favorite parts of the game. Some more epic pair-ups are certainly in order.

I've always kind of liked how the main characters meddles with the evil group people and ends up saving the day, although I certainly wouldn't mind it if the main character was more involved in stopping this evil group.

I've made up my own plot that takes place at least 10 years after Gen IV. Mine involves Lucas (the Gen IV protagonist) becomin' sick of society & the world & turnin' evil sometime after he becomes champion. Then he "disappears" from Sinnoh, disguises himself (black trenchcoat & fedora hat) and assumes the alias, "Fedora." Then he finds Team Rocket in a state of disorganization & feud & becomes their leader. He wants to cause a massive disaster that will destroy peoples' spirits (not literally) and remove all hope & happiness from the world so he can take it over.

Not sure about the details yet, but that's how I imagine it.

Hmm...I know you've posted this somewhere else before...

I think that they should go a little bit darker with the story to draw more mature people in, I don't know though because that might repel kids.

Maybe if they added in a battle tournament, and you have to train up your pokes to win, and you have to win in order to continue through the main story. I think that would make the game a little more fun.

Or even if they made a training program in the game that teaches you about EV's and IV's.

A battle tourny sounds pretty inciteful.

There's 4 generations, so there's 4 elite fours. What if a new team, made up of a secret evil member of the elite four from past generations and the champion of the new elite four, we're plotting to take over the world. Throughout the story, you find clues leading up to the secret leader of this new team. When your in the elite four, the champion might be shrouded in shadows and when you get to his room, he flees the scene. This might seem hopeless, but he drops a clue to his whereabouts when he fleds.

It's an alright idea, but I don't see that happening.

Maybe if you could battle past members of the elite four in a Trainer Cafe similar to the one in Platinum?

But how is that adding on to the story line? That's just an add-on to the ending of the game. What I suggested would actually be a way the story could play out.

I agree, but what I suggested would be a team ran by a member of the elite four from each generation. They're objective could be to catch the legendary pokemon. They could actually enslave the pokemon and your mission would be too get it back. Or you could help them achieve their goal depending if you got to choose sides.
