New Pokemon (5/9 Pokemon Sunday Episode) Starters (5/16 Episode)

Here's my opinions of our new starters.

The Grass one, Tsutaja, would have to be my favourite. It almost reminds me of Cyndaquil mixed with a Treecko. It's more cool looking than cute. They did good with this one.

The Fire one, Pokabu, is 2. Even though it's a Pig, it only gives up foresight on it's awesome evo's that might come up. It looks cute, as well.

The Water one, Mijimaru, Is terrible IMO. It looks like a more drab version of a Piplup mixed with a Mudkip. I wouldn't judge this Pokemon so soon as it's exo's may be better. Then again, I probably won't use this one...

Note that if anyone thinks that Tsutaaja's final evo will be Grass/Dragon, well they're way off because that would be incredibly broken.

It would also be incredibly weak to an Ice Beam/other Ice move from Mijumaru's evolutions.

So? It'd still be able to learn an electric attack.

I wanted the pig to become a dragon :(

I'm thinking Mijimaru's evo's are going to be Water/Ice. I'm not to sure where Tsutaja's evo's are going. Pokabu's evos look like they may be Fire/Ground.

If anything, Tsutarja will be Grass/Poison.

I hope not we already have to many grass types like that.

Let's try for a different type combo than Grass/Poison. I may go with Grass/Fighting. That's be cool.

Breloom's not enough for you?

I'd like to see Mijumaru eventually turn into a fighting type more than Tsutaaja.

My thoughts:

Grass/Fighting
Fire/Rock
Water/Ice

That's only one Pokemon that has that type combo. Grass/Poison has over FIVE.

I have a Breeloom, and it does well, but we need a starter to carry that.

Starter type advantages going backwards would be cool, too.

Grass/Fighting (with capability of learning Ground moves), Fire/Electric, and Water/Flying.

That would turn Rival Battles around.

If you're going to make a backwards circle, at least make it work. Like predictions work in a backwards circle.

I don't see how you're gettin' Grass/Fighting out of Tsutarja, IA. I don't see how he'd be that at all. And Fire/Ground makes much more sense than Fire/Rock.

Coach, we don't have any foreshadowing on Tsutaja's evo's. We're simply making speculations.

Fire/Ground would be better than Fire/Rock. Fire/Rock would have more x4 weaknesses (i.e. Water, Ground).

I said Fire/Rock because I speculated the Water starter would be Water/Ice.

Ground is also weak to Ice there, IA. Besides if this follows the trend I noticed about quadrapedal starters then Pokabu should end up Fire/Ground (not sure if I posted that here or not.) The Otter will be Water/Ice imo. As for Tsutarja; unless his species changes from snake to somethin' else over the course of its evolution then he'll most likely be Grass/Poison. But there's always the possibility that they'll all be pure typed this generation.

That's another thing. Pure Type starters. Tsutaja currently looks like it may be a pure type starter IMO. Mijimaru is most likely going Water/Ice, and Pokabu will most likely be Fire/Ground. I dunno, maybe we'll be surprised.
