So, have you caught/encountered any shinies yet this Gen? I caught a shiny Scraggy today, I was pretty surprised to say the least.

I found a shiny Blitzle while training Tirtouga. It was definitely unexpected, but I don't like Blitzle too much.

I found a shiny Joltik, which I since trained until it evolved until Garvantula and I decided that I wanted an Ice-type Pokémon on my team instead.

i also found a shiny joltik and its really powerful when it becomes galvatula and i have a really good moveset i use him as my Special Sweeper

How do you get a shiny starter?! Does it appear in the pick menu?

And if the Crowned beasts and G.S Suicune don't count, then no.

And I actually just snagged a shiny Electrike (now Manectric) and Registeel off the GTS in my daily GTS sweep. The one who wanted the Electrike obviously thought no-one would have a level 100 Zebstrika (which I got through chain trading), and the Registeel's owner was just looking for Tyrogue.
