i have done everything in the game except get the pokemon which dont appear in yellow. i dont have a link cable so im stuck.

Ask all your friends if they have a link cable and a silver,or gold version(silver is recommended)you can use.
The only other option is to buy all this stuff and spend the next 2 years looking for a Game link cable.

There is one way, but it requires you to have not beaten the gambler you use for the Mew trick, and a lot of trainers.
First, do the Gambler trick (be one step in front, out of his view)and then push down and start. Fly to any city and battle any trainer. Then, put a pokemon with a specific special stat (it codes for a certain pokemon, for example, the special stat 196 codes for a Bulbasaur)at the top of your party, then, find a Ditto and allow it to transform into the first pokemon. Then, defeat it as normal, and then fly to Lavender Town. Walk left, and you'll find the start menu has popped up. Press B, and the pokemon will appear...
If you want Mew, use a pokemon with special stat 27.
If you just battle the trainer, then the pokemon might not be what you want.

There are three trainers that I know of that you can do this for:
- There is a Gambler facing north on the route to Lavander Town from Saffron City. To do the trick with him, go around him and stand one step above the house and save. Then push down and start.
- There is a Trainer facing north on the route to the Unknown Dungeon (the dude next to the water). Stand one step above the edge of the water and save, then push down and start.
- There is also a fisherman on the route to Fushcia City from Lavender Town. He faces north. To do the trick with him, when you are walking towards him, make sure you are as far up as possible. Take one step past the water. Save, and then push down and start.
NOTE: To do the down+start thing, push them at the same time.

i never even heard of action replay,but my friend had gameshark,but i always used to use link cable to get those pokemon.

Action Replays may have better codes but they are more likely to mess up your game.

They are very hard to find, I have kept mine for a long time so I still have it. They of course do not make them anymore.
