Windows 7 Can't Even Install

Okay, I have searched through over a dozen websites and nothing has worked. I have Windows 7 operating system. I am trying to install Sim Theme Park, but every time I try to even install the thing it doesn't work. I've gone into the disc and clicked "autorun" and the menu thingy pops up. I hit 'Install' then accepted the change on my computer. Then my pointer turned into an hourglass. A minute later it was back to a pointer and nothing happened. (I did Alt+Tab to make sure it didn't get hidden somewhere, but there was nothing)
I have tried running it in every compatibility mode, running as an administrator and disabled visual themes. All of which websites have told me to do. In the end it was the same result. I'm getting frustrated because I love this game and was very excited to play it again. Only to have this happen.
