I think he just needs Sonic to test out his creations really. I mean it does say he looks at Sonic as more of a rival than an enemy and realistically a friend other than that.

Yeah, in some sense that did show, but when you think about it deep down. Sonic loved foiling Eggman/Robotnik for the fun of it and testing his own speed.

The only sonic games with good graphics (im talking about the 2D games) are sonic and knuckles, and sonic 3.

That's true, the other two before it were like ordinary drawings. The more recent ones I'd say the best was Shadow the Hedgehog.

But he said at some point in sonic X that Dr. Robotnik was his grandfather. Well I mean look at robotnik in the first sonic show, then look at eggman in sonic X. They look nothing alike. So robotnik must have died at some point then Eggman took over his plans.

That is possible, but I checked the website recently and it changed the name to Eggman. Besides: Look how old Dr. Robotnik was in Sonic X
