i got all the stars in dire dire docks but it wont let me go to the next level. is there a next level or is that the end? Spoilers welcome

Well, you should be able to go down the hole before you hit the liquid wall that takes you to Dire Dire Docks, which takes you to Bowser in the Fire Sea and, if you defeat him, the key to the second floor of the castle.

After you beat bowser in the fire sea, you should get a key to the second floor. Go up to the second floor, and go into the first door into the right. Then, go to the left, and jump into the wall. That should get you to snowman's land.

Then get 50 stars and go up the stairs to the Star Door, get 80 stars and go to the last Star Door and defeat the final Bowser

Even after you get 80 stars, you can only climb the endless staircase with mario.
