number of lives not saved

Well, I got my SM64 for my DS and started playing it. really like it, however, everytime I turn my DS off and come back to play, all the lives I earned are gone, and I am now back down to 4 lives. Is there any way to keep the lives you had? Because I remember on the 64, that would save. Weird.

well, all i do is i just put it in sleep mode instead of turning it off.

How do I get Luigi, and whats up with the ghost paint? I looked all over for the ? box and can't find it either can anyone help me? Also how do u do the wall blast on the first level and do u also go thru the caged stars on that level and others?

well, for the wall blast, you know the cannon where you shot yourself to the star? shoot at the corners of the walls where the rotating plank thing is. then the star will appear. as for getting luigi, go to big boo's mansion and beat the 2nd mission and the next course you should go to the same place where you got the star for the 2nd course and follow the voices (laughs really,) and jump into his painting.

Ok if u want Luigi, go to that level and go to the room with many doors if u did the first mission then stairs will go up to where a star would have appeared now go to the room all the way to the right and u will run past flying books hop on a platform in the corner and if u look up there is a platform kind of hidden wall jump up to it and go thru the door there will be Luigi's painting and also a door leading to the Boss Boo

Where is the ? box and how do i get the stars in cages?

In the snow level how do u get the red coin in the ice block on top the hill with no question mark box near by? I dont get how to do the wall blast on the bob bomb level either, whats up with the clock level?
