It's a good idea, but they'd have to program five different versions of each stage. How about if it randomly shoots out ice, fire or a strong gust of wind* when you swing it?

* If anyone has a suitable attack for spring, feel free to tell me.

A bunch of rabbits stampede across the stage? That's the best I can think of for Spring.

What if a load of flowers emerged, and everyone was stunned for a bit?

Or it could have the same effect as Lip's Stick, but more powerful, and affects anyone hit by the projectile which would have to shoot out of the Rod.

Yeah, I like Panaemonium?s Idea.
Like when the season changes it gets special effect
Winter: Snow covers the stage and movement for your enemy is slowed, Ice also falls randomly from the sky
Spring: Its spring time and flowers grow every where, including your enemies head
Summer: It?s so hot that standing still in one spot for too long will make you gain damage; fire also falls from the sky
Fall: The falling leaves are as sharp as razors

*Points and laughs*

No, what I was saying is that they shouldn't have five versions of each stage. Not only because it'd take forever to program, but because it'd just be totally absurd. What if two people had the item?

Maybe for an event match, but in normal battles it would just make things complicated and may cause some huge slowdown.

BUMP.

Anyone played Banjo-Tooie? If so, you'll probably remember the Glowbos, whixch you had to collect to bribe Mumbo Jumbo and Humba Wumba. One of those would be a great item. Throw it at an enemy to transform them into a washing machine for 10 seconds.

Lmfao, did you say turn them into a washing machine? That'd be the best item in the whole game. I'd go into training mode, just to chuck those everywhere.

Just as long as the washing machine can't chuck dirty underwear like it could in Banjo-Tooie. I'd rather have a charge beam in the face than one of those.

No, it'd just be absurdly slow and heavy. For an example of just how slow and heavy, play as Bowser and get a Metal Box. Or just play as Bowser.

Or, you could turn yourself into something like that giant robot near the beginning, or the money van and run people over(correct me if i'm wrong, haven't played banjo tooie in a looong time)

...Giant...robot? Only thing I can think of there is the golden statue, which wasn't a robot, or Weilder, who was late on in the game. The money van I remember, that was pretty cool.

ya, the golden statue.... he was giant and robot-like...I dont remember weilder. anyways, maybe when you used or threw the glowbo it would have a certain chance to turn you into a washing machine, money van, or big golden statue.
ex. throwing- 75% washing machine, 22% money van, 3% golden statue.
using- 60% money van, 25% washing machine, 15% golden statue.
