Were you surprised when they showed Snake as a playable character?

I was shocked when they announced Snake was a playable character on a Nintendo game. Snake is one of Sony's leading game series characters. I heard Sony is very hard up for some money. Personally, I don't like the PS3, and I like the Wii a lot better.

Snake's first two appearances were on the NES. He's not a Sony character, he's third-party.

oh thx 4 the info, i never knew that, i want a Wii, but I don't think i'm getting 1 4 x-mas, u think they would still be hard to find by then?

What do you mean, 'rumoured'? It's confirmed. It's official. It is happening.

I know, but they have been thinking about it for montths.

When they announced snake was a playable character,no i wasn't suprised that much.

Either was I.

I fell out of the chair when I saw the end of the first video. I never wanted any non-nintendo charecters besides sonic. its a NINTENDO (!) tradition. it should stay with nintendo charecters. so in other words very suprised.

I was surprised when I first saw him in it (a wtf? moment), but now that I've looked about on it, I've realised it's not too much of a surprise. Hideo Kojima - the man behind Snake and the MGS franchise for those who don't know - asked Nintendo to add him in to Melee, though the game was too far in to development for him to be included.

at E3-06 showed the video at the end the crowd was completly silent. seriosly. I mean thier showing the begining of the video and thier all cheering, when they see snake thier completly quite. then when he said show time...crowd screamed. EVERY ONE at E3 was happy and suprised. and there was hundreds of people ther.

Uh-huh, that's the 'wtf?' moment I was refering to, followed by lol'ing at his infamous box hiding at the end.

I heared that his box is some how going to be in the game,is this true i forgot where i heared it from.

(off topic)Sorry it's i got that cereal thing from south park in that episode of Man Bear Pig where the man goes i'am being cereal,instead of saying serious.I still can't beileve thats his sheild.

haha snake must live in a box lol. I wonder what all their sheilds are though and if for the majority of them they are just going to be clear, coloured ball. If they made a real different one for each character that would be cool!

It would make sence wouldent it. links shield. kirbys rock thing.
