It would be financial suicide not to put Sonic in the game. So many people will purchase it if he's included in it.

sonic.... its a hard one. He wasn't at the start of Nintendo, slowly stolen by Sony. he was always with Sega. Yet he recently starred in Sonic and the secret rings, and wii was the only title he did it for. I would have to say i want sonic in

I don't get it, if Sonic is so great, why did Sega fall on it's face and die?
I doubt it's finanfical suicide to not include Sonic into the game; have Sega even expressed interest in adding sonic into the game? =x

I was just sayign this to people becasue I know people are fans of him ,and I even say I enjoyed sonic games. I want them to out him in but if they dont no big deal.

I'm not much of a Sonic fan myself but it would still be cool. After hearing the dumb rumors about it being in SSBM I got so many cool ideas. TAils and KNuckles would go good in it.

It really doesn't bother me whether or not Sonic will find a place in Brawl, simply because I seriously doubt he'll be one of the best characters. I'm looking foreward to most of the new characters (especially Metaknight), but if Sonic gets confirmed, it won't bother me much.
And seeing as they're happy to start throwing third-party characters in the game, Nintendo and Game Freak should ask Square-Enix if they can include Cloud, Barret, Cid and Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII in the game. THEN I'd have some new favourites.
