I was on Wi-Fi the other day. Up against Snake, Lucas, and Pikachu. I was Meta Knight.
When the match began they all did their taunts over and over that it drove me mad! I attacked all of them using my Tornado attack. Then they all team up on me for the whole match. Of course I lost the match but then it went to Sudden Death. It was Snake against Lucas. Here's the biggest WTF! When the match started, they both jumped off the stage! No fight, no punch, and no taunt. They just jumped off the edge! Lucas lost becuae he was lighter. Then anothr match and when we got to Sudden Death, the same thing happened. WTF?

i'm surprised you're surprised about this.it happens all the time.I managed to win one of these but its not easy playing with lag and versing 3 people at once

How do people set this up though? Is it just people just try it alone or can you somehow go into a random match with other people?

no but it is kinda funny that it was more than 1 random person that did it but they do it to annoy peopel it is kinda funny

That happens a lot to me as well. Other annoying things on basic brawl...
- People pick the worst stages. Today I was playing Basic on New Pork City -_-
- People enter a character but don't play. They just stand there and give free points to anybody that hits them off.
- People spam. I'm not talking strategic spam; I'm talking plain old used of 1 attack
- Lag: need I say more?
- People run away from everything
And yes, I've seen people not target eachother. I'm not sure how random the basic selection is, though.
- I once left a group and rejoined the same group about 3 minutes later.
- The system tends to select more local opponents to minimize lag. They won't pair up somebody in Australia with somebody in Argentina, Canada, and Germany. If they did that, there wouldn't be a basic brawl xD

Lol thats weird.
That never happend to me because I don't play random people online because the reasons johnkrill listed. Put simply wi-fi on brawl is just awful and not worth playing in my opinion.

Lol a modem won't fix the fact that on brawls wi-fi there is no ranking system or option to play stock no items. Plus you always have to play 2vs2 with bad lag, anyways this is a little off topic....

this only happened to me once
i was playing team and some guy joins and just stands there AND HE'S ON MY TEAM!
i dont know about you guys but i kinda have an honor system about just standing there. if they stop moving, i wait until they start moving again to hit them. but anyway back to the story, i got pwned in the *** by pikachu and jigglypuff and it sucked.

Secondly go to the wi-fi forum/thread, and TBH I doubt you could beat us badly online anyway because of how laggy it is.
