I said marth was top tier and am pretty surprised that he's not, there is a lot of others on this list that surprised me as well, such as pikachu and game and watch being so high, I didn't know they were that good.

Pika isn't it is a combo if you have your oppent over 50% and u Dsmash them and then Dspecial them in the air they are pretty much dead ;_;

He can 0-death combo fox. :D

Donkey Kong is high tier? WHAT?

Yeah, he's a beast.

I've never seen DK played in serious play.

Any reasons as to why he is rated so highly, and maybe why TLink is so low?

I didn't make the list. If you check the source you might find some discussion in it there among the members. Toon Link I'm not sure of, some people are attributing it to not having as much tournament exposure; I don't know, Luigi proves it isn't based solely on tournament results. As for DK, he actually is really good, you should give him a try (I however, don't play either TL or DK for the record).

TLink should be given more credit. He's fast, pretty free of lag, a wide arrange of ranged attacks and a dis-jointed hitbox. Great recovery with optional grapple...

He can combo like crazy (reverse aerial rush and double Bair). I just can't justify why he;s lower than Kirby and those folk.


And I've played DK before. He's got nice knockback and he's very heavy, but I can't find any ways to combo with him. He's got similar problems to Ike, where he lags too much to hit anybody. He's also gigantic and easy to hit, and his recovery is very Horizontal Based.


Luigi is a great character with probably the fastest all around moves in the game. I've seen people pull off crazy combos.


And for some reason, no matter how hard I try, I can't play Dedede.

Well i understand why Link is "low" because he is very slow at attacking but the damage is still high, but oh well.

Link isn't as good as you'd think.

Very poor jumping/recovery capabilies; one of the worst with Olimar and Ike.

Non-existant combos. His aerials are impossible to combo with, and he can't chain grab or any fancy stuff like that.

Slow speed. He doesn't move very quickly.

Lacking projectiles (arrows don't float across screen unless fully charged, boomerang doesn't deal damage on the return, and bombs have little range).

only draw-back I see with link is as you mentioned his recovery.a lot of his killing moves come out quite fast.finally his projectiles are actually really good.his arows can be used for long-range and his bomb's can be used in mid-air to set up his dair.boomerang is a average projectile,but takes time to get good using it

Link has pretty fast moves when executed, but some lag poorly.

His only true killing move is the second hit of his Fsmash. Sure, other moves like Dair will kill, but the chances of that hitting are pretty lame. His Usmash doesn't kill till around a rediculous 170% or something, and he's stuck in that animation for a long time. And Link CANT COMBO.

And you weren't listening to me when I pointed out the poor parts in his projectiles. Yes, arrows can be used for range, but unlike Tlink's arrows, Link's don't float. He just charge his arrow first, and the arrow flight path is very awkward and usually won't hit. Link also can't shoot arrows fast enough in air. He'll hit the group before you can draw one back.

Again, the boomerang doesn't deal damage or grant interuption for attacks when returning, and the bombs are average with lame sideways range.

alright fine link sucks and t link is under-rated,do you agree with the top 3 guys?

Now i see why Link is so low, thanks for telling me. Also why is Marth at the point of where he is?

because the characters above him are better :D,and because they have better tourney results

Yeah, keep in mind that these lists compare the characters with eachother.

Marth isn't bad by any means, but other characters are just better overall.
