Very well.
Because of the wealth of potential characters, arenas, items and other such shite, many people claim to have discovered glitches to unlock said shite. While many of these rumours turn out to be false, some do bear truth. One person who has greatly aided the discovery of SSBM glitches is head of Gaming Research and Development at Team Chaos, Gary 'Glitchy' Harrison. In an interview for the Team Chaos newsletter, Harrison had this to say:
"I suppose the first thing I look for when I buy a game is the possibilities. When I got SSBM, the first thing I did was work on getting the trophies, so I could get some idea of what might have been possible. It does take a lot of skill and practise to rebug a game, not to mention time. The first rebug job I did was Giga Bowser, and that took me about 2 hours. It's worth it, no doubts there, but some people just don't have the patience."
While rebugging does hold great rewards, it is also dangerous, as the game data can often be permanently damaged, and your memory cards erased and blocked, if anything goes wrong.*
*Team Chaos is in no way responsible for loss of life, limb or game data while rebugging games
