I've restarted my game recently and have now just beat 30 event matches but the list ends there, im confused, how do you unlock 31-51? I've completed every single one so far (1-30).

Unlock more characters. You need Falco, Luigi, Doctor Mario, Jigglypuff and Young Link for the next lot.
