What is your strategy of how you fight?

Sometimes I use skill, sometimes I am a button-masher. Depends on how hard the fight is. Sometimes I goof off just to show off.

Well it depends on who im fighting, I change my fighting style according to how my opponent fights, I can usually change my fighting style in a way that trumphs theirs, and have a advantege that way.

Ever since I discovered that you can roll to the side while holding the shield up, I've been doing just that a lot. I'll hold up my shield, (Not on purpose, this is a subconscious fighting tactic) and then roll to the other side of the opponent, and he/she/it is left grabbing for me. If it's Link, who has an extremly long rcovery time for his grab, he is as good as gone.

I play the fight somewhat smart. If I'm in no trouble, then I'll mix offense with defense, waiting for the right time to strike. If I'm in trouble, I pretty much get rid of the offense and play defensively and wait for the opponent to make a mistake and take advantage of it.If the opponent has one life left, they pretty much don't get a chance to attack anymore.

Lol. That's funny. JohnKrill, or someone else, could you give me tips on mastering Marth or Roy?

I've been come as skilled as I am with Marth from 7 years of experience (since the game game out), and it's not really something teachable.

Kinda wish melee had Wifi so that I could show you a few things though :P

I mastered Marth... I may be able to help. Short-hop and s-air across the stage. Good damage builder, transports you, knockback, and sets up for Redemption. I did exactly what I said above as advice. My strategy was very floaty.

Oh, and don't forget; before you start short-hop side smashing, use side smash on the ground, or running slash to set them up for it.

I'm sorry, but you lost me at s-air. I regret to admit that I'm not fammiliar with these terms.

Speaking of DK, doesn't he have like three Meteor Smashes!? He's got that side+A in the air, the down+A in the air, and the Head Butt of his too.

Yeah, the down+A is hard to get the timing right.

Yeah, it is.

I juggle my opponents, keep them in the air, then smash them while the float, beat them on the ground, but that's usually just with Pikachu, since his speed is so good. Otherwise, it's just full-out attacking.

You juggle with Pikachu? I have a hard time doing that with him.lol
