I think it's advertising that you aren't allowed to do....so if I posted like, "hey, here's my great website at www.mysmashpage.com, come and visit plzthnxby ^^" then that would be spam. If I had something very useful on my site, it might not be

Interesting page... That thing where you hookshot on venom, and have your boomarang hit you, I did it a few times, but all that happened was it made me grab the ledge.. Am I missing something?

check the numbers on the back of your disc
It should say 00-00-XX
If the XX is 00 then you have the old version.

Oh, well I use AR sometimes, so I know I have version one. Do I need to hold towards the stage as I'm flying up or something? Or does it not happen every time?

Try practicing in FD. Stand at one end of the stage. (Let's assume you're on the left side) Smash throw your boomerang at a upward angle tp the right, and then quickly jump and hookshot the side of the stage. Letting the boomerang hit you is all it takes for the glitch to work.
Sometimes, Link only jets upwards and falls flat on his face on the stage. It happens ocassionally. The other times should let you fly up above the screen.

Well, thanks for the tip, but actually doing it isn't the problem, I can DO it fine, but all it does is make me grab the ledge. Do I need to do anything after the boomarang hits?

He falls on his face if you've sweet-spotted the ledge with your hookshot. Throw it, jump and fall a little first to the point that if you were to press A after using the hookshot, you'd jump up instead of just grabbing onto the ledge. When the boomerang hits, you'll fly up.

Directional influence.
pointing the control stick 90 degrees to the direction you being thrown/propelled.
and with the fly up thing it's easier to do it on Fountain of Dreams.(because of the big sides)
