using the upB is an extremely basic technique and isn't what defines how easy a character is to play.

when im in most fights with mew2 i wait till the other person approches me and then i use dark ball to knock them back

that only works if they don't know how to approach in midair and don't know how to press l or r.

I know the third jump is alot of power in battles but for beginner people, they might not be able to work well with the up+B move

Your base for Yoshi being the easiest is in he has no 3rd jump, but consider his other moves in other areas, the egg isn't exactly the best projectile out there, and he wasn't put in low tier for nothing. Even Yoshi's 2nd Jump isn't all that great, its not hard to just jump down and hit him after he's finished before he's hit the ground.

It really sucks how you can't jump-cancel his shield though.

with better shield exits, he'd be really nice defensive character, able to cc, dj, dodge or shield attacks, depending on the situation. now he's pretty much forced to eat his attacks rather than avoid them.
