Hey I'm having a problem getting my mercantile stats to go up. I'm currently at around 50 in it and my character is a level 41. I can level up by getting training but not by buying and selling. I'm not sure when this started but it sure is frustrating.

it goes up when you do big trades not like smaller ones i suggest using the item dupe on a varla stone or a expensive piece of jewlerly

try using that one cheat where you have to have the horse and an expensive weapon

To put your mercantile skill you have to use the "Haggle" option while buying or selling, it's a little like the persuasion option with speechcraft put it down to the lowest percentage you want to sell that the merchant will allowe or the highest percentage you are willing to pay for something.[u][/u]
