I went all the way up to dive rock once and he followed me, I moved to the edge so that he could be near the edge too, I told him to wait then I told him to beat it, after I said that he ran off the cliff! I guess is A.I tells him to take the fastest route back but not the safest it was a bit funny I kept the save file too.

Y'know I was getting ****** off to, whenever you enter a city there he is running at you. I killed him in a cavern on a guild quest and he never came back. Must have been a glitch

Im pretty sure that if you kill him he appears ou side of the arena again.
