When you go to jail, your bounty will remain what is was when you were arrested until you serve your time. It will go up by 200 (I think) if you manage to escape. Escaping is not like the first time with the Emperor. If you had any lockpicks when you were arrested, you will be able to hide
only one. So that gives you a chance to pick the lock on your cell, sneak past or kill the jailor, and escape. Although, I see no point in escaping because they'll chase you on sight again. But it is pretty fun to keep them guessing!
