Soul Stones

I have a Grand Soul gem that says it is empty to refill my Longsword of Embers but I don't know how to charge up the gem. Please tell me.

Get a Soul Trap spell, cast it on any creature, (humans won't work) and kill them while it's still in affect. If you did that right, it should say "You Have Captured a Soul!" in the top left of the screen.

There is also a sigil stone in one of the oblivion gates which allows you to capture souls(not sure which oblivion gate), just use the sigil stone on one of your weapons. Then start Killing!

I never use the Sigil Stones because then I have to recharge my items and I hate doing that.

I don't really mind because it makes my swords loads better, and i just go to the Mage's guild to recharge them!

I have dine it to 2 of my swords and I will never do it again.

Once i used the soul trap sigil stone on one of my swords i found it really easy. I just had to make sure i had grand soul gems on me.

Ok I have the soul trap spell but I don't have enough Magicka to use it. I chose warrior for both of my classes. How can I increase my Magicka to the point I can use Soul Trap?

Um, level up? Is sneak one of your major skills?

I don't think it is and if I just level up it will take forever.

Just go get Umbra. It has the soultrap ability.

Ok where is it? If you have had to close the first Gate to Oblivion to get it I can't. I've been leveling up a lot to prepare for the gate.Soon though, Oblivion will meet Oblivion.

No, you have tom find the alven ruin of Vindasel it is in there, oyu can do the quest for Clavicus Vile and do it too. but I wouldnt. It is southwest form the Imp City.

Yes, go DIRECTLY southwest of the waterfront and you should run into Vindasel. But be careful, she's a hard one.

Tell me if I stand a chance: I'm at Lv.5, have a fully recharged Longsword of Embers(Thanks Mages Guild) a Heavy Raiment of Valor(14 Defence)Legion Shield and Steel Helmet. And since I chose Warrior for my classes, I have good attack.Even though LoE is fully charged the reason I still want Umbra is because it was expensive and I don't want to spend that much.

Turn the difficulty all the way to zero, then go for it. I think you have to be level15 or something like that to do the Clavicus Vile quest. He is a deadric prince by the way.

Ok, I beat Umbra and took everything but her gauntlets and it's awesome! Even at zero difficulty, she was very hard. Do you think I'm ready for Oblivion?

No, if seh was hard? H*** no!

Well she wasn't that hard now that I think of it. The main thing that made it kind of hard is because when I blocked, she made me stagger so I couldn't launch any attacks. After a few good shots and dodges though, she died. She would have been a piece of cake if it weren't for the stagger thing.
