Huh? And isn't the silver edition or whatever it is called free? What is the difference between the two things, gold and silver? Obviously I know which one is better but what makes it better?

If you have gold you can join matches with friends on Halo or something like that, I think that is it.

I only know of a couple of differences. You can talk directly during certain games to other players. And also you need gold to get into certain multiplayer games. Like Call of Duty 2 and Saints Row. But that's all I know because I can't afford it.

A little bit more. The loading times seem slightly longer than on silver. But I've played Call of Duty 2 with a 128Mbps modem and the "ping" remained around 100 on both gold and silver. But back to topic eh?
