Potions

I am new to oblivion and I want to know what ingredients make an exclusive health, and magic potion.

At Novice (24 or below skill)you can use any 2 of these to make a potion

health
Boar meat
cairn Bolete Cap
deadric Heart
lady's mantel leaves
Venson

Magic
Bog Beacon cap
Flax seeds
SteelBlue Entolma Cap

At expert (75 or more) you can make something like this..

(got this off the net)
Aloe vera
Bog beacon asco cap
Flax seeds
Sweet cake
effects will be..feather/rest. fatigue/Rest. health/restore magic/shield

thats fine, i just needed to know because health wise i am not good.

One thing you can do is just buy a strog potion of healing and duplicate it. That is what I do for the potin and strong potion of invisibility.

I think it is in the hints or cheats section. Anyway, I will tell you. 1) Equip bow and arrow. 2) Pull back bow string and hold. 3) Press "B" to go into inventory. 4) Press "A" on the arrow equiped two times ( actually depends on Xbox for number or times). 5) Go to the item you want to duplicate and drop. 6) Exit inventory. That's it, if you do it right, there will be the same number of items as you had arrows. A piece of advice, if you want to duplicate lockpicks, make sure you don't have that many arrows because your game might freeze.

Anyone intrestead in Alchemy!!Novice potions

At novice level there really is no reason to use more than 2 ingredients for potions or poisons . The effects or power of the effect will not change at all . You?ll just waste ingredients .

One of the first thing you will notice at novice level is there is a lot of Restore Fatigue you can make . Go ahead and make them even if you just sell them . This will help get your alchemy level up faster and it doesn?t hurt to work on mercantile while selling them .Or keep the ingredients for when your skill is higher.

Novice potions you might want to hang onto .
The restore attribute potions can come in handy .
For whatever reason you can?t goto the chapels to be healed you can fix your attributes yourself .

Get your hands on as much ingredients as possible .Don?t throw any thing away . Eat it if you can?t carry it !
Some ingredients you may not be able to get until certain levels , but if you keep an eye on the shops you might be able to buy it.

I like to keep an eye on how much a potion or poison weighs . Try to use the least weigh item first . It helps keep the weight down .

Not too long. It might be for someone who don't like alchemy. I am starting on aprentice lvl now.
