does anyone know where i can find or get a good robe that is enchanted for a mage. i know about the ones you get in the mages guild, but is there one you can buy somewhere or get somewhere else?

I don't know about any that you can buy but why don't you just enchant one of your own that fits your needs? That makes more sense to me.

Then just buy all the spells that you want in the robe. Just buy them even if you can't do them, it might work like that.

What sort of enchantment were you looking for? Reflect? Absorb? Or fortifying?

Well if your guy is good buy a white robe from the shop in the Imp city and then enchant it to how you want it. And if your skills aren't high just buy a spell that you can do that you want in the robe with the same effects.

No, they have a defensive and offensive side. Lets use the fire sigil stone for example. On a weapon, they would enchant fire damage. On clothing, they would enchant fire resistance.

I don't know, I think either weapons or armor allows only one but I can't remember which.

Sorry for bumping but, break into Alves Unvenims house in southeast Leyawin go to his bedroom upstairs and above the bed theres a 'very well hidden safe' breal open the 5 tumbler lock and theres a black hand robe and hood with very useful enchantments.

Mankar Camorans robe is free, if you do the main quest, and is extremely powerful. For me, it's worth around 12010 gold, no mistype there.
