In the temple of the ocean king,, how do you get through the small hole in the wall on level 3? Bombs don't seem to make it bigger. The bloke who steers the boat keeps telling me to head to the temple, but I don't know what to do next in there.

you have to use bombchus for that,and you find those on Goron Island. if by level 3 you mean your third visit, you still have quite a ways to go. if you mean the 3rd floor, there is no tiny hole there
