You need bombs. Go into the cave beside the temple of ocean King to know more. Try to solve it yourself before asking for a complete solution.

I have tried,It said i have to move the light that comes out of the statue so that it is between the temple and the mercay tavern.I'm clueless.

Alright, draw a line from the temple to the tavern(bar). Then draw perpendicular bisector from the line. Move the statue's light according to that light. Then go and blow up a wall down the cliff.
And err, I am a Malaysian, which is 7 hours ahead of England, around 105 degrees east from the Meridian Greenwitch, north of Singapore and South of Thailand. So, I may not reply as you might be asleep when we are wide awake working.

Oh that yeah I had a hard time with that too, but just turn it so its hitting the rock wall to the north west but to the right of the temple of the Ocean King and bomb the wall.

The reason I didn't say what it was; I wanted to keep it a surprise for him. But I'll go ahead and tell him.
If you sticked to the main story instead of traveling around, you'd have:
Some islands left to unlock
Side quests to do,
Boat parts to find,
mini-games to beat,
heart containers to get,
treasure scrolls to salvage.
And lots more.
