Hey im still using the first sheild and it burnt up in the goron mines where I get a new (or better) sheild?

Go down to Kakariko Village, you can buy a replacement shield there for 50 rupees. Alternatively, you can just go through the mines without it (I did after mine burnt up) then leave Kakariko after being warped back there. You'll get a letter saying that there's something exclusive in a shop in Kakariko. Turn back and find the shop, you'll find a Hylian shield there for 200 rupees.

You can actually get the Hylian Shield before you start the Goron Mines level.

just buy the hylian sheild at the little girls store in Kakariko Village
