you have to wait until like 7:00 pm then go near areas that have a fishing sign over it and wait until that cloud appears. Once the cloud appears imedeatly click on it and say "visit lot"click that.once you get there you should see a unicorn.keep interacting with it and soon its your best friend. i advise making friends with a cat a dog and a horse first.then you will get a chance the next time you see one to say add to active family.HOPE THIS HELPS and remember you never heard it from me!and sorry for spelling.

There are no horses much less unicorns on sims 3 pets for the Xbox 360. Sorry only on PC.

Please read if you go to applossa plains (Whatever in the game during the day there is a little spot with the waterfall and wild horses stay there for the day Unicorns appear 12:00 to 5:00 (AM) if you stay there there will be a black unicorn, watch it for a while feed it then get to know it then you will have the desicion to adot it once you do, you have the chance to change it by clicking on it,
If you want a cheat, press shift ctrl and c at the same time type Testingcheatsenabled true
find a unicorn or wild horse hold down shift while clicking on it, press add to active family, Ta Da free horse or unicorn

If you are asking how to get the unicorn apart of your family then, click control alt delete and type :
TestingCheatsEnabled true
hit the unicorn pressing shift.
A paper should show up saying add to active family.
