Getting engaged...?

I know that to get two sims engaged you have to wait until you get the "get engaged" goal... but for me it never showed up. right now my goal is to grow a baby into a toddler but i haven't even gotten the goal for marriage yet. is this right? or did it just completely skip a bunch of goals? if so how do i fix this?

I ended up having to reset the game, because on the iPod Touch, there doesn't seem to be a way to skip past the goal, and if I tried to propose, the game said I had to wait for the goal. And as folks know, you can't have a baby in the game without being married, so I was done. Sucked.

seriously?? that totally sucks. well i definitely don't want to have to reset the game... maybe they'll fix it in an update... although i'm not sure that's reallly on their priority list, or if they even know about it. anyone know what the best way would be to maybe contact them about it?

yay! am engaged if you have a ipodtouch or ipad am the one you should me looking at move one of your sims out so they can get engaged quicker and faster first things first when you move the sim out let the other sim visit the sims that moved out if there partners click be romantic 20 times yes it has in option to propose then when you click be romantic 20 times then click propose it worked for me on my ipod touch and ipad so enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if there isn't a way to fix the goal issue is there somehow a way to get around it? have a baby without getting married? it'd probably have to be a cheat since i tried just having one by buying s cradle and it didn't work...
