When do baby's turn into toddlers on sims freeplay?

You must have someone baking a birthday cake which can be bought from the supermarket. It costs 10lp. Then you'll be able to let your baby have a birthday. It will then grow into a toddler. This action should be available st at any time with your baby. However, when you click it it'll say youa need a birthday cake.

In order to have a toddler, you need to have a party for the baby. In order to have a party, you need a birthday cake. In order to make a birthday cake, you need a stove, then after you make the birthday cake, you then can have a party for your baby. Hope this helped you!

Help! My baby won't change into a toddler. I'm lvl 12 have the baby but when I try to bake the birthday cake it's not an option for me to chose it's grey. Also when I try to have a birthday the pop up says I need to complete a quest for toddlers which I have done. Any ideas how to fix this?

Help! I'm a lvl 12 I have an infant that I want to grow into a toddler but when I try to bake the birthday cake it won't let me the icon is grey. I have completed a quest for toddler, purchased a new crib and even a new stove and still can't bake the cake. When I click on the have a birthday it tells me that I need to complete the quest for a toddler. Can anyone help?
