Next Update

Does anyone know when the next update will be? My game is corrupted and I haven't been able to play it for the last couple of weeks so hoping the update might fix this - I really don't want to lose all my points and sims by uninstalling and reinstalling it.

They don't tell when the next app update is, usually it's every 6 months or so, but I guess you'll just have to wait and see. I don't think it will be too long though.

Actually you can save your game data so you can reinstall the game.

Here's a link to EA's FAQ page. Just do ctrl+f and type in "How can I back-up my save data?"

Edit: Also, just wanted to mention that the save will only last for 7 days so try to reinstall and download your saved data before that time frame is up.

Thanks.. unfortunately though, I can't even load the game to save my data :(
I've had loads of free time for the last couple of weeks that I could have spent on my sims.. hopefully this next update (whenever it comes) will fix the file error on my machine.

Thanks for the tip on saving though.. I've learned my lesson for next time!

Unfortunately, I got the update today, but the game still won't load, so looks like I'll have to uninstall it.
I'll reinstall it on the offchance my game is somehow saved but, if not, I'll probably just delete it and won't bother starting again. I've spent money on building it up, and a hell of a lot of time, just for it to be lost.
Thanks to all on here though - although I've never contributed until this problem, the tips I have gained from this board have been invaluable.
