Characters can be unlocked one of two ways. You can either play through Battle mode and gain characters as you win, or you can unlock them by earning that character in Story mode. Completing Story mode will unlock The Final Stage level.

Complete the Kids Next Door Theme in Story mode; alternately win 12 Battle mode matches.
Unlock Bubbles:
Complete the Kids Next Door Theme in Story mode; alternately win 7 Battle mode matches.

Meet him in Stage 1 of FlapJack Theme in Story mode; alternately win 3 Battle mode matches.
Unlock Captain Planet:
Complete the Samurai Jack Theme in Story mode; alternately win 75 Battle mode matches.
Unlock Father:
Complete Story mode; alternately win 42 Battle mode matches.
Unlock Grim:
Complete the Dexter's Lab Theme in Story mode; alternately win 25 Battle mode matches.
Unlock Him:
Purchased in store for 1,200 points.
Unlock Hoss Delgado:
Purchased in store for 1,200 points.
Unlock Johnny Bravo:
Purchased in store for 1,500 points.
Unlock Kevin 11:
Purchased in store for 1,200 points.
Unlock Mojo Jojo:
Complete Story mode; alternately win 63 Battle mode matches.
Unlock Monkey:
Save him in Stage 1 of Dexter's Lab Theme in Story mode; alternately win 18 Battle mode matches
Unlock Samurai Jack:
Defeat him in Stage 1 of Samurai Jack Theme in Story mode; alternately win 33 Battle mode matches.
Unlock The Scotsman:
Purchased in store for 1,200 points.
Unlock Toiletnator:
Purchased in store for 1,200 points.
Unlock Vilgax:
Complete Story mode; alternately win 52 Battle mode matches
Unlock Young Ben:
Purchased in store for 1,500 points.
At the 'Options' menu select the 'Cheat' option and enter one of the following case sensitive codes (without the quotes) to activate the corresponding effect.
