To get these extra characters beat them in a Guitar Battle during Career mode and then purchase them at the shop.

Unlock Slash:

Beat his boss Battle and then buy him at the Shop for $10,000.

Unlock Tony Morello:

Beat his Boss Battle and then buy him at the Shop for $10,000.

Unlock Lou:

Beat his Boss battle and then buy him at the Shop for $15,000.

To enter the notes go to 'Options' and select 'Cheat' and enter the code you want to enable. Unlike previous versions of the game you now have to strum as you press the buttons in the code or if two buttons are indicated they must be pressed together as you strum as they represent one cord. The letters in the code below correspond to the coloured frets.

R = Red, B = Blue, G = Green, Y = Yellow, O = Orange

Unlock Hyperspeed:

Unlock Performance Mode:

This track by the England based group is unlocked by beating Career mode on any difficulty setting. When the credits run you will then play 'Through the Fire and the Flames'. Once unlocked the track can then by found in the 'Bonus Songs' section.

This is more of a hint probably but since hardly anyone looks under "hints" I am going to put it under cheats. Ok when you are coming up on a difficult solo use you star power (You will have to save it). You should do this because chances are on a difficult solo you might miss a lot of notes but when you have star power on you get twice as much credit or something like that for every note so it will be harder to fail.

If you want to play Guitar Hero 3 with the Wii-Mote heres how.

These are what the wii remote buttons cordinate to on the guitar:

Notes:

Green- The B trigger under the D pad on the bottom of the remote

Red- The right arrow on the D pad

Yellow- The A button right below the D pad

Blue- The 1 button below the A and above the 2

Orange- The 2 button below the 1 button

Note: you do not need to strum the notes, all you need to do is press the button when you want to play them.

Special:

Star Power- Press the up button on the D pad

As You Probably Have Noticed, In Some Songs, You Will Come Across A Line Of Colours Going Up As In Raining Blood, Well 1 Easy Way To Get These Is To Use 1 Finger, It Easy To Do, Just Slide Your Finger In The Corresponding Order And Strum Only Once.

Most Of You Reading This Are Probably Thinking (YH WE KNOW) But Ive Come Across Some Right Weak People Online Its Not Even Funny.

When you are just starting hard mode it is sometimes difficult to slide your hand to the orange button. I know some people who slide from orange to green, but that doesn't work for me. I slide from green to orange. Anyways, when you are sliding let go of the buttons, don't stiffen up your fingers or it will be really hard to slide over.
