that makes you enjoy it? Why do we listen to it?
For me, it's both a way of expression as well as a way to really get away from my life. When I'm on my way to sleep with nothing to do with listen to my MP4 are some of the happiest moments of my life, everything is just gone, and I focus on the beat, the lyrics, and the meaning of the song.

It makes me happy. No matter what kin d of music, even angry music, it gives me immense enjoyment.
Not a day goes by where I don't listen to music, and I go out of my way to make sure that I'm listening to it, if I'm not already doing something.

Music relaxes me, when I'm angry I just chill out & turn the music on. When I'm happy I do this aswell but it's relaxing so, yeah. I like the beats to rap music too.

The obvious answer is that I like the way music sounds. But if everyone answered that way, this would be a pretty boring topic, so I'll go in a different direction with it.
I think that music, more than any other phenomenon in the universe, is capable of evoking emotion. I find that if I start out in a passive mindset, my mood will change a dozen times throughout the course of a shuffled playlist as different songs come on and influence my mind in different ways. I'll be listening to something like The Cure, and I'll be feeling a little bit sad, then Drowning Pool will come on and I'll feel angry, and then it'll switch to Pearl Jam and I'll be smiling. I like how music can do that, evoke so many different emotional reactions.

I do not enjoy Earth music. It all just sounds like a bunch of grunting, muttering and screaming to me. I do not see how anyone could get enjoyment out of that, but as you humans say, "To each his own".
