Platinum, hands down. Great new features, awesome story, new Pokemon formes. Definitely get it.

Yep,I agree with Coach.I stopped playing Diamond since Platinum is way far better with the pokemons locations and added storylines and its more challenging so its worth the money to buy Platinum.

Seriously, it's far better. It's got better features, the Distortion World is really fun, new forms, and the Battle Frontier(while lacking the Battle Dome D;), is incredibly addicting imo. If money is a problem, you could sell your Diamond if you don't care for it that much. That would cover at least some of the costs.

And the distortion world is the place where giratina lives. According to the movie, It was "created" to deposit the real world's errors, so that the world is kept in balance. In-game, it is a wicked new area where gravity is twisted, and space-time rules don't apply. You have to chase Cyrus until you find the Distortion World's ruler, Giratina.

i am there too...i think its ok as long as u dont tell anyone if its really that big of deal to you. i dont care what my friends think. 
if they dont like it then most of my frinds keep their mouths shut those that dont i just ignore. so if u want to buy platinum but you dont want your friends to know then just dont say anything to them. it's that simple

I may be completely wrong but I didn't think it was all that better, it was pretty much the same except for some add-ons and tweaks. But if it's your first time getting one of the DS games, I'd stick with Platinum

What are you? A gamer. What is Pokemon? A game. Play it. You're not 5, grow up. If they laugh at you, big deal. As long as you're not out screaming to the world "I play Pokemon!" who cares. If they find out, they find out. not the end of the world. If nintendo continues to make the games once I'm in college, then I'll probably still play it. There are 35 year olds on this site who play the game. Again, grow up a little and forget what other people think.
