Well, you technically need to become exactly like me. But chances of that happening is rather low. I mean like a person who is brand new to the site, and does as I did when I was at Moderator rank. :P
I don't think I ever applied to GC. I was happy just modding an obscure video game forum until I was no longer needed. They put like five other mods there a couple weeks after I got the spot, so yeah.
Status isn't everything. Everyone used to know me and now 9/10 of the active General Board posters have no idea who I am. I'd say I'm better off this way.
The second portion is the reason for the quote, just incase anyone is confused.

I'd say a few days. Tbh we need a LOT of spots filled to 4 mods... I think a lot of this will be done via older mod and smod recommendation I'm guessing. I mean you guys know how it works, the accepted people get reviewed and we throw out & replace any we don't like. Right IA? xD
I still refuse to apply anywhere (especially a big forum like this) until I have at least 1k posts because I don't want another rejection letter added to my pile of eight.
It seems a lot of spots have been opening and filling recently, lots of turnover...Too many people leaving.
Thing is most of the position still haven't been filled from when the smod promotions came around, since Dennis only gave one or two spots out in each forum.
Pokemon hub probably takes more time looking through countless threads than GC, but it really isn't that much of a problem. GC, on the other hand, probably requires more experience than the Pokemon hub, though. I got the hub spot on my second application for it and when I got it I only modded 2 forums. They seem to be two very different forums in regards to prerequisites. Coach would know best, though, since he mods GC and the hub.
I can agree with that, the P Hub has more to do, but the stuff there is much more routine. Here topics closed usually have some twist to them that require skilled out of the box thinking. Well, sometimes. xD
