I'm not so worried about people cheating as people taking this way too seriously and complaining for weeks after either they don't win, or someone they don't like wins.
Should just be a bit of fun that people get to participate in every month/every few months.

I agree there Catharsis - It is a nice honor to become MVP, but there will only be one winner... So please bear that in mind, I would not want to disappoint people if they take this too seriously... Just have some fun... Find some interesting topics to post about and see how you get on... At the end of the day, if it makes the forums a better more active place to be then it is good for the whole SC community.

true, there are more topics being made already but how many of them are made in the wrong place? how many of them will contain spam? people are in such a hurry to make one that they aren't thinking it over before going to some place like general chat or supecheats times and making a topic that belongs somewhere else. the people who mod active forums are going to be busy as long as the MVP thing is going on

scars - We're looking for quality here... starting copius amounts of low qualiy threads in the wrong place won't win this award, people will realise this I hope and start thinking before starting threads and putting them in the correct place. There are plenty of mods and super mods and admins here that can offer guidance.

Pretty much every one of my thoughts regarding the potential obstacles, or regarding any form of praise, have already been mentioned.

Yeah I agree, dont make it a yearly thing. I think every month would be a nice addition. It would give people something to shoot for. Also some people cant be active for long peroids of time, So that would eliminate anything to long like 6months to 1 year.
