I'm partial to the UMP.45 atm, but that's only because I have to play offline multi more than online, because I currently don't have access to broadband, so can't play through online. Soley playing with my mates I'm currently lvl 59

Na dude FAMAS is where its at. Anyways best SMG in Mw2 is the P90, they ruined the Mp5 in my opinion.

The MP5 in CoD 4 was beast. Now the MP5K is pretty bad...

I think UMP is the best of all of them,I don't really use SMGs much though since they ditched the MP5, which was my favourite gun in CoD 4, and replaced it with the terrible MP5K.

MP5k is actually really good with the Silencer attachment, UMP is still better and I can't stand the P90, Really the SMG's are best with Silencers, and that's all they're really worth something with.
