England might as well pack their bags and go home now, this is the worst performance by an England team in a tournament I've ever seen and I've seen them all since the 1982 World Cup. Brazil will win, they are looking better as the competition goes on.
North Korea won't be hearing about the World Cup, then. I've heard that nobody in North Korea, aside from the team and, of course, Dear Leader, actually knows there is a World Cup, and the government will only tell them there is one if they win. This pretty much confirms the rumour I heard earlier that all of North Korea's 'fans' are just a bunch of Asians paid to pretend to be North Koreans.
I enjoyed the Spain game last night, although I was a little disappointed that they didn't pot in that third goal they looked so much like scoring. In the last ten minutes, Honduras looked as if they might have gotten in a sneaky goal, too.
Shame he isn't playing anymore. Ronaldo isn't half the player he was.
As for North Korea, they just seem to be one of the many teams who do not deserve to be in the World Cup this year. Their goal-keeper is a disaster, if that's the best they have I feel sorry for them. The poor guy didn't make a single save worth mentioning.
I'm hoping for Spain to lose the next game. If they manage to get the first place on their group, they have to face us (this, of course, assuming Brazil will take the lead in our group, since I don't believe we can beat them). Between them and Chile, Chile is obviously the one we want.
Apparently Nth Korea allowed the first ever live broadcasting of a game in their country during the Portugal game after their admirable performance against Brazil. Bet they're regretting that now lol.
You can't really say that there is a country that doesn't deserve to be there (except France), they qualified like everyone else. Their performance against Brazil was incredible, considering where they lie in footballing terms. Korea defended quite well up until half time against Portugal, they only conceeded all those goals when they started pushing players up the park, trying to peg back a goal and thats when it went horrible.
Spain v Brazil will be the game of the tournament if they meet, not sure I can pick a winner there, definately the two best teams in the tournament when they are playing well.
well my team is still doing legendary and im still proud of them. Go Argentina.(i know im not argentinian or argentinese or whatever but fiji doesnt have a world cup team)

I am extremely disappointed that the South Korea vs Nigeria game was not available to watch last night. Instead, I was stuck with Argentina vs Greece and Greece were absolutely disgusting. I honestly think that teams like Greece should simply not have their matches broadcast, especially when there's another game on that would have been infinitely more enjoyable to watch. Anyone who actually watched the game will completely understand what I'm talking about, even the match commentators were outwardly criticizing Greece. Argentina eventually potted in two goals...and it's been a long time since I was so pleased.
I simply can't understand why Greece would play in such a manner, especially since they started on the same points as South Korea, but with a lower goal difference.
So proud of our Australian boys tonight. To come back and get 4 points from our last two games after the thumping we copped from Germany was an amazing effort. Just a shame that we had such a big disadvantage on goal difference.
We haven't had the greatest of luck this tournament but still gave it a good go.
sharingansuke- I had the same feeling! It's quite an emotional roller coaster cheering for the United States.
ducky2- The two goals you guys scored were both amazing. That Serbia team is not easy to beat. It took Ghana a lot of luck and a stupid handball to beat them.
No! The USA can't continue!! It's horrible!! They did the same as they did to us and because of that we didn't get to go to the World Cup... No fair!!
On the other hand, England played rather well today, better than before, that's for sure. And it's such a shame Ghana didn't get to score, but I'm glad Ghana and Germany are moving to the next round.
So far it goes:
June 26: 4 pm: Uruguay - South Korea 8:30 pm: USA - Ghana
June 27: 4 pm: Germany - England 8:30 pm: Argentina - Mexico.
GMT+1
In all honesty, USA vs Ghana is worth watching and Germany vs England, cause Mexico will lose against Argentina.
Avy&Sig by Saphy. Damn... My English still isn't perfect...
I enjoyed both of yesterday's games that were broadcast (England vs Slovakia [I think. I always get confused with the S......ia's] and Germany vs Ghana). England played far better than their previous two outings, although Rooney went for his 8th England game running without scoring a goal, which is strange because he's the striker who's supposed to score goals (as opposed to Emile Heskey). I'm surprised England didn't get one or two more, although it seemed to me that Slovakia didn't really care a great deal until the final stages due to there being no goals scored in the USA vs Algeria game.
Germany vs Ghana was a great game. Like virtually everyone who watched the game, it was amazing that only one goal was scored (although it was a very good goal from Ouzil) in the entire game. Both teams looked as if they shouldn't have scored at least three each. Personally, I wanted Ghana to win, but they got through anyway so it's not so bad.
I wanted Ghana to win anyway, but it would have been nice if Australia went through. I've always found things are more interesting when more of the underdogs advance further, which Germany aren't.
New Zealand, undefeated in the 2010 Fifa World Cup group stage
Pity we couldn't get a win against Paraguay, they are a good team though & almost everyone was picking Paraguay to win at least 2-0, so the 0-0 draw is a good, positive result for New Zealand football in the long run.
With what some have called "questionable" goals scored against us, things could have been different, but nevertheless, I, like every other New Zealander is proud of our result & we have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of with our efforts.
Being ranked 78th & showing determination & resolve against the World Champs & two teams ranked in the mid 30s we didn't do too badly.
To make things sweeter Italy lost their final game to finish BOTTOM of group F. Who would've picked that.
I have to give cred to Ryan Nelson & Mark Paston for being two outstanding players.
Not bad from a country with 20 or so professional players & Football being the 3rd or 4th sport behind Rugby Union and Cricket and possibly field Hockey.
Oh, here's a cheeky quote a New Zealand fan had on a banner I saw during the game;
"New Zealand; We have have as many World Cups as Spain!"
